About Us

Our Approach

Our goal is to become a long-term partner to our customers. We offer a flexible and tailored approach, and a focus on data, voice and security infrastructure solutions.

Corporate Background
Since 1983, Tredent Data Systems (TDS) has been providing solutions for data communications needs. Started in 1983 by John and Gloria Tredent, TDS provided growing companies with ways to connect remote locations back to their headquarters. This was known as Data Communications. The needs of companies to connect each remote location back to corporate, whether its retail stores, manufacturing, or just a remote presence in a different state or country, allowed TDS to grow into one of the nations most successful WAN companies.

With the advent of the Internet in the mid 90’s, the ease and possibilities of accessing huge amounts of data, took Data Communications to another level. TDS was there, providing companies with the routers and switches to connect to the Information Superhighway, as it was called then. As industries started to embrace the Internet, email and remote access, the way people communicate changed.

We quickly realized the change from traditional private line and Frame Relay connectivity, to harnessing the power of the Internet allowed people to send quick and accurate information, more cost effectively using already existing internet access at remote locations. Designing these connections, or VPNs, became and remains one of our primary solutions and keeps us very busy as we grew to meet the needs.

The needs of our customer and our ability to add value has always been our focus. This approach helps to ensure the building of long term relationships with our customers and as we help their business grow and become more efficient through technology, our experience and expertise grows as well. This is a perfect symbiotic relationship.

Currently, most customer needs have been security audits, vulnerability assessments, Microsoft Exchange upgrades, VoIP deployments, Citrix, SANs solutions, etc..

One of the ways we add value is by offering a full suite of services with a large staff of fully certified and experienced engineers.
