Noel’s opinion - Dell News:
I’m sure you’re aware by now that Dell and Compellent have entered into a merger agreement, although this is not finalized as of yet. Here is the opportunity in front of us:
Ø Compellent will continue with business as usual. You will have the same local field support as before and you can expect more support.
Ø CoPilot will continue out of Eden Prairie, MN. We will be adding many more support engineers and developers as we continue to scale.
Ø Dell is making a huge transformation and is looking to capture the Data Center Space, this is not the Dell from years back. Do not get caught watching from the sideline.
Ø In 2007 Dell launched the Data Center Solutions division and they will continue to invest and focus on game changing technology to capture the Data Center. Do your research…
So, I’m sure you wondering where’s your opportunity? Dell has a huge ($1.5 Billion) annual storage sales with EMC which will start to fade once the merger is done. Compellent’s field team and focused Business Partners will be consumed with the many opportunities we will be brought into. Your value and Compellent knowledge (both Sales, Pre-Sales and Post Sales support) will be of huge value as we tackle the storage opportunities thrown our way.
You have knowledge of the Data Center. Dell needs your help to capture that space and Dell has leads and needs your help to grow the Compellent Storage Center business across the world. Get ready to “Scale Beyond” as Compellent 2.0 goes global.
