Riverbed Technology, Inc. (Nasdaq: RVBD), the technology and market leader in wide-area data services (WDS), today announced that it appointed Thomas Bakewell as chief information officer (CIO). In his new role, Bakewell will be responsible for shaping the company’s worldwide IT strategy to support continued growth and the need for real-time collaboration and data access for Riverbed’s globally distributed workforce and corporation.
