City of Santa Maria: Accelerated!

The City of Santa Maria came to Tredent with a network problem that needed resolution. Most of the City's locations were connected via fiber at LAN speeds yet one of their locations did not have this luxury. This location only had a point to point T1.

End users at this site were constantly complaining about access to their MS-SQL application, file transfers as well as their Internet access speeds, which were backhauled to the City's Internet connection.

Our team dropped in a couple of Riverbed Steelhead appliances for a 30 day evaluation of the solution. Within minutes City representatives were impressed by the performance and speed increase of the applications that their end users had been complaining about.
