Riverbed's Steelhead appliances provide the highest level of wide area network acceleration performance across the broadest range of applications. Available in many sizes, Steelhead appliances are also the most scalable approach to application acceleration across your WAN.
With Riverbed's small appliances, you can now provide even your smallest remote offices with the WAN acceleration benefits that every office deserves.
The Steelhead appliance 100 and Steelhead appliance 200 now cost effectively accelerate applications at offices with just a handful of people. The Steelhead 100 supports up to about 5 people while the Steelhead 200 supports up to about 20 people.
In order to accommodate future growth, the Steelhead WAN optimization model 100 is software upgradeable to the model 200.
For mid size offices and regional hub offices, Riverbed offers the 520, 1020, 1520, and 2020 models. Supporting an estimated 75 to 650 employees (depending on the device and usage characteristics), these models provide greater capacity as well as Proxy File Services.
With a convenient 1U server format, these models can easily be rack-mounted or kept in a server closet. Optional multi-port Ethernet cards enable integration into multi-link or redundant WAN links.
In order to accommodate future growth, the Steelhead model 520 is software upgradeable to the model 1020.
For your largest offices, corporate headquarters, or your data centers, the Steelhead models 3020, 3520, 5520, 6020, and 6120 provide even greater capacity, plus the redundancy required in a mission critical technology.
Optional multi-port Ethernet cards enable integration into multi-link or redundant WAN configurations. Clustering with the Interceptor appliance provides additional failover or scaling in extremely large deployments, ensuring that Steelhead appliances can always scale up to meet your application acceleration needs.
With a 3U rack-mountable form factor, these devices contain RAID, triple power supplies, and hot-swappable disk to ensure maximum uptime and rock-solid hardware reliability.
